Pabst Blue Ribbon is pleased to announce the third annual PBR Art Contest, inviting PBR drinkers to create unique works of art inspired by the historic brew. Works in four categories -- photography, painting, sculpture and poetry will be accepted through December 31, 2008.
PBR will select one grand prize winner and one runner-up in each category on January 15, 2009. Grand prize winners will receive $1893 in cash and a one-year supply of the inspiring brew. The runners-up in each category will receive exactly 1/3 of the grand prize: $631 in cash and a four month supply of Pabst. In addition, PBR will showcase the winning artwork throughout the U.S.

I am super stoaked to hear about the 2009 contest!!!!! I made the dog that got runner up in the 2008 sculpture category and look forward to making something cool for this year. A few questions:
1. Is there anyway we could submit 3 photos instead of 1, or perhaps 1 photo with smaller inset photos to show detail?
2. Is there any theme you will be looking for?
3. Some of the 2008 rules seemed to be a little foggy. Can we ask questions about the rules?
4. When will the 2008 stuff go on tour?
My dog will be on display at Scooters Bar in downtown Portland once I get motivated and take it down there.

There's a few finishing touches we're putting on the PBR Art site for the 09 contest. Once we get that site up and running, it should answer the questions you've asked here. If not, let me know here or email me and I'll try to get some answers for you.
We can't wait to see what you've got in store for 2009!
