Anytime someone would come into his house, they would be greeted with a firm handshake with one hand, and a cold Pabst with the other.

He was a simple man who served in the Army during WWII, and worked construction all his life. He raised ten kids, and put them through Catholic schools all the way through high school. He would help anyone with any job they needed done around the house.

This was our family's 3rd Christmas season without Grandpa. At one point in the evening my Aunt looked over all the older cousins, all of us drinking PBR, and said "Grandpa would be so proud right now"

I am currently serving in the Army, and by introducing all of my fraternity brothers to PBR, the movement is growing at IU.

PBR me ASAP

PBR Me ASAP! Has anyone else used this when ordering a PBR? I do every time I order a PBR and the wait staff, even at bars that advertise PBR don't know what I am asking for. It is a pet peeve of mine. The trust is actively involved in the support of medical research and eduction. We are American-owned and we are not owned by Miller.

2) PBR is brewed in 6 different brewing locations around the U.S. in facilities owned by Miller (a few were actually Pabst breweries at one time). But all of our beer is brewed under the supervision of Pabst's own Brewmaster, Bob Newman (come meet him at the GABF this year), who won the Large Brewmaster of the Year at each of the last two Great American Beer Festivals. He and his staff ensure that all of our beer meets your and our high quality standards. Every can, bottle and keg of PBR is brewed in the U.S. using proprietary formulas which have been in place for over 150 years. In other words, just because we don't own the buildings doesn't mean we don't brew our beer!

If you have other questions about us, don't hesitate to post them here and we'll do our best to answer them. In the meantime, do your part in setting the record straight when you hear things that contradict the facts we have communicated here.

Greetings from The Daily Seagull

Hello to all in the Pabst Blue Ribbon community. I've been enjoying PBR since the early 70's and still seek it out wherever I go. Unfortunately, it is not widely available in North Carolina, at least not the Down East area. Yeah, I can get it in one or two stores in cans and a local club stocks it in cans for me, but I want it in bottles and draft wherever I go!

One store got a few bottles in one time, but the fill quality was poor. I wrote to PBC, but received no reply. The store soon dropped the bottles. I also responded to a survey about PBR from the company and said I would volunteer to do anything I could to promote PBR in my area, just let me know how I could help. Again no response.

Anyway, PBR is my number 1 choice. I discovered it when I was 18. Now some 35 years later, it is still tops on my list.

Tennessee Pabst Drinker

Pabst is the only beer I buy but i can only find it in cans. wish i had the option of bottles every once in a while. nevertheless i have turned several people onto Pabst and they love it. for some reason people thought Pabst was terrible beer having never tried it..... just being brainwashed by budweiser commercials every 20 minutes on t.v. now that budweiser are complete sellouts a massive pabst resurgence is growing. People of all ages drink it. Old Mil. is another favorite as well. Most everyone registered here probably chooses Pabst as their drink of choice. Pabst is one of my top choices, but I'm not lying when I say Stroh's is my definitive choice. Til the day I die, Stroh's it will be. Stroh's is stocked fairly well up here, but when not available I enjoy PBR, Blatz, Old Mil. and Carling Black Label. I just want to thank the Pabst Brewing Company for doing these old beers justice, and keeping them alive in a time where products like Bud Light are the go to drink for so many Americans (sad, sad, sad). I guess the majority of Americans simply don't like the taste of beer...

Longtime drinker, new forum writer

Ahh, finally a place like home. This is my first forum I have ever joined. Love PBR, and the people i've met drinking it. Grew up in the great state of Minnesota and as a teenager used to steal my dad's Old Style Special Export a.k.a "Green Death" . A stronger beer that the Heileman brewery employees wanted for a company picnic. These were the first taste of some golden nectar. Being adopted to a German and Norwegian midwest family I quickly acquired the fine taste of good hearty beers. This followed by my brothers love for all kinds such as, Old style, Olympia, Grainbelt, Shlitz, and of course Pabst Blue Ribbon. The old "red, white, and blue" took a hold of everything I new about a good brew (and also back then it was like $2 for a six-pack).

Flash forward 20 years and now I reside in the oldest city in America, St. Augustine, Florida. It was hard for me to find PBR at most stores until Winn-Dixie started to carry 12 pack cans and a couple locally owned bars like the World famous Oasis restaurant and deck started selling for $2 a can.

So now I can enjoy the "Ribbon" fishing off my dock on the inter-coastal or down the street at the Oasis. Life could not be better. So thank you all for such a great line of beers and this site. Thanks to all that are on this site for being fans of PBR and keeping hope alive, and thanks to all of you that I have drank with and will drink with and the first rounds on me!

"Ride naked, Streetfighters FLA"

Pabst & Milwaukee

Growing up in Milwaukee in the 1960's, I remember most everyone in Milwaukee drank Pabst even with the other brewers in town. Nice site though. I'm from Milwaukee, and I do quite a bit of travels for work, nothing makes me feel closer to home more than when I walk into a tavern and they actually have my little blue friend. Thank You. PBR ME ASAP!

New member here from Minnesota

Hey all a Minnesota PBR drinker here.
