Why O Why did PBR stop brewing this nectar??? Andeker is my all time favorite beer. I cannot believe with all the microbrews on the market, people always looking for something great to try, that Pabst won't start brewing Andeker again. I just hang my head in sadness until maybe someday they dust off the old receipe card and throw a batch together for me.

Does anyone even remember Andeker? The younger Pabst crowd might look at me like Im cazy. /Images/EmotIcons/Crazy.gif "Crazy") But I bet the oldtimers know what Im talking about. For those who don't know, Andeker is like a Pabst in a dark beer form. A nice deep rich, smooth flavor. excellent. It's kind of sad, out of all the crappy tasting beers on the market today,beer with no taste, beer that tastes like taqulia, red beers, no carb beers, wheat beers...and on and on. But a great beer like Andeker is a fond memory.I don't understand. I think what Pabst would earn just off my sales would be enough reason to brew & bottle again. /Images/EmotIcons/BigGrin.gif "BigGrin")

| i remember andeker and also wish they would bring it back, we didn't see it much in eastern pa. but every chance i got i would drink it, so i say bring it back!

Hello im new here.
Andeker Great beer! my old favorite. when it would go on sale we would drive out and buy 10 cases at a time. Premium Beer! Also have special ordered 1/4 barrels for gatherings, and that beer went Fast. Good stuff.

| I first tasted Andeker while at the Pabst brewery tour in the early '70s. We were in the outdoor beer garden and they served a sample of Andeker...I was hooked. Compared to the swill on the market today...there is no comparison. The current owners of Pabst should wake up and bring back this excellent premium beer. In Chicago, they have recently brought back Schlitz and it is a big seller.

| Forgot to mention another great brew, Jacob's Best. For a light beer, it had great taste. I know it had a very limited market, but another classic beer that should be resurrected.

| I`ve contacted Pabst many times asking them to bring back ANDEKER. my response.....NOTHING!!! NOW is the time to bring back ANDEKER. As everyday goes by, there less people that remember the ANDEKER brand. AND there`s a huge interest in micro, specialty brews. If they couldn`t match the old formula , they could bring it back as a Amber type brew. I think we should all contact Pabst insisting they BRING ANDEKER BACK!!

From time to time I think of Andeker. I work weekends in a store that sells many great beers (TJ's in AZ) , but every now and then I think I would like to try some Andeker again.
I Used to buy it in the 70's when I lived in Midwest. I remember it as having a "Woodiness" but whatever the taste that Brand has stuck in my mind.
I did not remember it being from Pabst, but remembered it fondly.
I do not think Pabst could brew it today unless they spun it off to a smaller run division of the company. It could be a good way to add attention to the Company though if they did a good retro ad campaign and followed though on the quality.
