These fellers right here, NC's "The Flat Tires" are loyal fans of the PBR...
...so much in fact that the dedicated a song to it on their latest album, (called "PBR" of course)

You can hear the song on their myspace if you like:

Yeah really cool topic. I always see pabst stuff in movies and get all amped. It freaks people out. On the music side the Drive by Truckers have a few images of Pabst in their album covers and on tour posters. Eric Church has got a song called "Pledge allegiance to the Hag" about Merle Haggard. It starts out " There's a little dive on a dead end road, called the cross eyed cricket watering hole, where you can hear the sound of a steel guitar, and get loud and rowdy on PBR". Damn good song. I'll try to remember more.

Just got back from seeing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. PBR bottles spotted being delivered to the table of college kids behind Indy and Mutt in the restaurant scene.

Last night I was watching the new episode of the deadliest catch and at the end the three brothers on one of the boats go out to where they buried their dad. They are talking about how they picked up the body from the funeral home and dressed him and loaded him into the casket and he said they put a can of Pabst in with him. It was cool. Those cats are frickin nuts. I'm a Union Ironworker and I work up high but those guys are badasses.

Hi yall, I'm new here, but a PBR lover as well. Greetings from N.C.! As for PBR in movies, the crown jewel is 1968's "The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell" with Bob Hope, just found it in a library on DVD! It's set during WWII & the men on the island they are stationed at haven't got their beer rations, the only supply ship in the convoy with beer was sunk offshore, and yes it was PBR, damned Uboats! They do have the church-key open cans, but they were not olive drab as issued during the war, but you will recognize that beautiful label. Great movie with some young stars like William Christopher, the priest from M*A*S*H. Movie 2- Catch 22 with Alan Arkin, also WWII era, also PBR's but in the bottle. Has anyone mentioned "Larry the Cable Guy- Health Inspector"?, a lot of PBR stuff there. Will list more as they come to mind, thanks for having me and I'll have that PBR now-JW

Pabstsolutely!

Stephen King mentioned Pabst by name in one of the later "Dark Tower" books, possibly the last one.  In the Godfather II they are drinking Pabst at the lake house in Tahoe.

I love it when a plan comes together.

ok I have two of'em.
one was in raging bull after one of the fights on tv there we an ad for pbr

the second was a dual reference to pbr and blue velvet.
there is an episode of futurama (when they brew beer in bender) in the beginning their at the store looking for some brew and fry suggests Löwenbräu "cause it has dots" then bender says "screw that Pabst blue robot!!" (shows a pbr can only with a blue robot in the place of the ribbon)

I would cut a mother fucker throat right about now for a PBR.

oh   oh    oh  I GOT ONE and its a Goodie

The year was 1958 and the movie was "Thunder Road".  Our beloved PBR has a brief but very important roll in this movie,  the main character Luke(Robert Mitchum) drinks one.  I know it is crazy but its true in the middle of the arguement with Robin he takes a long swig of a beautiful brown bottle(I wish I could get bottles, just once.) then when he wakes up to find Roxy in his room there are more bottles on the night stand.  The movie is about an illegal "moonshine" runner and it kick a$$.

I believe that there is a Pabst neon in the bar scene where Early (Brad Pitt) beats the tar out of some local hicks in the movie "Kalifornia".

Pabst appears often in "The Dukes of Hazzard"

As well as "Animal House"

Also, in the song "Little Ramona's Gone Hillbilly Nuts" by BR-549, it is said that "now, she's drinkin' Blue Ribbon"

PBR me ASAP

I think one of the best flicks that showcases Pabst is "BLue Velvet" where Dennis Hopper asks Kyle MacLachlan what kind of beer he drinks. He says Heineken and Hopper says: "Heineken? FUCK THAT SHIT! Pabst Blue Ribbon!" all while toting a case under his arm..... CLASSIC!
